Silent D.G. Set

Silent DG Set from Arpan Power Projects is a high-performance diesel-powered generator designed to provide reliable backup power with minimal noise levels. Many buyers hesitate because they assume a quiet generator means a compromise on cooling, fuel use or strength. This page takes the common myths one by one and replaces them with facts, so you can choose with confidence.

Myth 1: A Silent DG Set Gives Less Power

The soundproofing is built around the generator, not taken out of it. A Silent DG Set uses advanced soundproofing and durable construction to cut noise, while the engine and alternator do the same job of delivering continuous power during an outage. Rated output depends on the model you select, so ask us for the rating of your chosen kVA size. Noise is measured in decibels, so ask for the figure for the model you plan to buy.

Myth 2: An Enclosed Generator Overheats

Any engine needs air, and a good enclosure is designed around that fact. Efficient ventilation is a core part of the Silent DG Set, with airflow openings in the canopy that let cool air in and hot air out. Poor placement is a common cause of overheating, so keep the ventilation openings clear of walls and obstructions when you install it.

Myth 3: Silent Means Expensive to Run

Noise reduction does not have to cost you extra in fuel. This Silent DG Set is built with fuel efficiency in mind, and running cost depends mostly on how well the generator is sized to your load. A set that is far too large wastes diesel at light load, while one that is too small struggles, which is why we help you pick the right capacity.

Myth 4: A Silent DG Set Is Only for Homes

Quiet running is a bonus at home, but it is just as useful elsewhere. This generator suits industrial, commercial and residential applications: offices and showrooms where a loud machine would disturb customers, factories that want to reduce noise for workers, and housing societies that need backup power without complaints from neighbours.

Placement Tips for Your Silent DG Set

Good installation helps your generator last longer and run quieter.

• Place it on a firm, level base with enough space around the canopy for airflow and servicing.
• Keep the ventilation openings facing open space, not a wall.
• Point the exhaust away from windows, air intakes and people.
• Store diesel safely and follow local safety and noise rules.
• Keep the control panel easy to reach.
